The 27th DAM J.A.M.

Pryor, Oklahoma, 8 September 2018

We're in Pryor again on the first Saturday after Labor Day, unloading
our made-in-Kansas RANS Screamer for our eleventh DAM J.A.M.

We gather at Whittaker Park, ready for a short ride because
we haven't been able to train for the long ones.

Soon we're out in the country on a misty Mays County road headed for Hudson Lake.

The DAM J.A.M. always has good rest stops with good
food, and plenty of rescue vehicles for unlucky riders.
This is the first rest stop, after about eleven miles.

The Adair Boy Scouts always man the last rest stop at about 22 miles.

At the end of the short ride we have 33 miles on the odometer. We've put
thousands of miles on the Screamer in the past ten years. This was our
first DAM J.A.M. with the nice Shimano shifters with combined brake levers.

The shirt featured a bicycling beaver. How do you explain that?
